What Materials Are Our Roller Doors Made From?Manufactured from tough twin-walled aluminium slats with an insulating core, the curtain is held in place with high performance webbing which gives extremely quite operation and is unaffected by extremes of temperature. A strong extruded top slat and our unique locking mechanism effectively resists attack by would-be intruders.
All our doors are CE marked, ensuring compliance with all European directives and regulations.
How Long After Ordering Will Delivery Take Place?Delivery will take place 2-3 weeks from the date of order. Because every door is custom made to your specific size we cannot keep a stock on the shelf. We aim to carry out an installation within 1 week of receiving the door from the manufacturer.
Do The Electric Doors Require A Special Supply? Our doors are supplied with a 13amp 3pin UK plug, so if there is a socket outlet nearby, then this can be used. Our surveyor can advise of the electrical requirements at the time of survey if required.
What Guarentees Do I Get With My Roller Door? All of our products are guarenteed by the manufacturer against defect of material or workmanship subject to correct installation, maintenance and operation, for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. The SOMFY motor also carries a 5 year guarantee. In addition, Rosewood, Mahogony, Golden Oak and our full range of Renolit wood effect finishes carry a limited 10 year guarentee.
Will I Have To Pay A Deposit?Yes. Our doors are custom made to your exact requirements, which means we cannot carry a stock and cannot return a door to the manufacturer for refund in the event of a customer changing their mind. For this reason a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required in all cases.
How Many Remote Controls Do I Get With My Door?As standard we supply 2 handheld remote controls with each door. Extra controls and other forms of door opener (such as keyswitch, number pad, etc), can be added to your order at time of purchase. These can also be purchased from our Spares & Repairs section of this website.
What Happens To My Old Garage Door?As a responsible supplier and installer, your old door will be recycled where possible (i.e. timber or steel). Unfortunately GRP or fibreglass doors are unable to be recycled so have to be disposed of into landfill. Some customers choose to keep their door and sell it on to someone else on an auction site or a local shop notice board, etc.
What Do I Need To Consider Before Ordering? If you just require an estimate and some advice on a new door, the best thing to do would be to give us a call with your measurements and desired colour or woodgrain finish. We will need to know the width of the opening (brick edge to brick edge) and the opening height (from ground level to underside of lintel). Also, if the garage has another door or means of access to determine if a low level overide is required.
If you are then happy with the estimated price, we would send our surveyor to measure up and check the location of the door and whether any special circumstances exist. This would then enable us to provide you with an accurate quotation for supply and installation of your doors.
If you only require a door to be supplied and you wish to complete the installation yourself, then this can also be arranged.
We will accept 'supply only' orders using a customers' measurements, but the item will not be returnable and will require FULL payment at the time of order, as if you where buying from any other supplier of a custom-made product. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
